Mac addresses on LHEA

Hi !

I want to know the mac addresses of the physical HEA port.
I've no problem to find logical mac but for the physical ...

I've tried lshmc or entstat without success ...

If someone knows, I'm interrested :)

Not quite sure I understand your question.

From the hmc (thinking lshmc was a command you tried) the command is very different from when inthe partition (as would be the case for entstat).

The card itself (aka HEA) does not have a MAC address of it's own.
In the case of this adapter the base MAC addresses for the two port groups would be:
00xxxxA3C740 and 00xxxxA3C750 (these 4 ports coming from a VIOS in role of IVM)

A client shows only what has been assigned and looks like:

Lacking an HMC this is as close as I can come (you would need to add the -m manged-system-id to the command when executing from an HMC, with IVM the -m value is implicit).

The card itself (aka HEA) does not have a MAC address of it's own.

It was the solution I needed.
